People also prepare special meals that feature traditional dishes such as "bánh chưng" in the north and "bánh tét" in the south, which are square or cylindrical sticky rice cakes filled with mung beans and pork.

Festivities often include cultural performances, lion dances, and fireworks, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere. It is a time filled with hope, renewal, and gratitude as people look forward to a new year filled with happiness, health, and success.

Tet not only marks the beginning of a new year but also reflects the rich cultural heritage, family values, and spiritual beliefs of the Vietnamese people. It is a festival that strengthens family bonds and creates a sense of belonging within the community, making it one of the most important and cherished traditions in Vietnam.
