Tina and Emily are cousins and Emily is a year older than Tina. They are also best friends. They live in the same town and they are in the same class. Indeed, they have similarities, but there are some differences.
Tina really enjoys reading. Her favourite genre is folk tales. In her free time, she would rather stay at home than hang out with friends. Her parents think it is not good for her when she spends too much time at home, so they encourage her to join a sports club downtown with her little brother. On Friday and Sunday afternoons, she often goes to the club.
Emily is a big fan of swimming and tennis. She usually wakes up early at weekends to practise those with her father and some of his friends. On weekdays, she goes to extra classes with Tina then returns home and does homework. She sometimes stays up very late because she enjoys watching films at night.
"We're different in some ways actually because Tina is a bit shy, but we're still best friends! We text and phone a lot," says Emily, "but one thing we both like to do is to talk."
